My tattooing style could best be described as indigenous inspired cultural fusion.I have a passion for Polynesian and Native American black work, and draw influence for my art from indigenous peoples found throughout our world.
In my art, my passion is with working primarily in black ink. Tattooing styles such as Polynesian, sacred geometry such as mandalas, or feminine modern tribal designs, I use the bodies natural curves and lines so the wearer and ink fuse together as active parts of the design as a whole. I am happy to do specific traditional styles as well as my own fusion brought to me from over 20 years of studying and admiring these art forms found in the diverse cultures of our world.
I feel that in today's society, the world of tattooing has lost sight of the importance and sacredness of the ritual of receiving tatau (tattoo). Although the end product is important I believe that the overall experience and process of getting the tattoo especially the connection between the artist and client is equally as important.
It is my goal to provide a safe space for my clients in an ego free and uplifting atmosphere for us to work in.
I am proud and grateful to live and tattoo in Portland Oregon one of the best cities in the world for tattoo art.
